Course Description

Curriculum

  1. Evaluate the business model behind your technology (using the value proposition canvas and business model canvas, etc.)
  2. Design the software (using rippl, appCRUD, software development canvas)
  3. Develop the software (determine cost of development and maintenance, develop using MeteorJS)

Objectives

  1. Develop a business model around your software-as-a-service (SaaS) product
  2. Design the SaaS product and get it ready for development
  3. Determine the cost of outsourcing development
  4. Start development using the MeteorJS framework
  5. Evaluate the rippl software language and the appCRUD development platform

Outcomes

  1. Attendees will be able to evaluate the business viability of their technology product
  2. Attendees will be able to design their software application
  3. Attendees will be able to estimate the cost of developing their software application
  4. Attendees will learn the rippl programming language (pre-alpha)
  5. Attendees will learn how to use the appCRUD development platform (pre-alpha)

Keno Mullings

Keno Mullings is a highly effective software engineer with 20 years of experience in software development. Keno is owner and Lead Software Engineer of The Mullings Group, a business process consulting firm. Through his firm, Keno leads a team of experts to deliver business and technology solutions that address the toughest business challenges while creating positive and social change. Keno has extensive knowledge in software design, software development and software development technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Northeastern University and a Graduate Certificate in Software Engineering from Brandeis University. Keno has made it his life’s mission to develop and teach solutions that build wealth with a passion to end poverty through entrepreneurship. As the Founder of the Institute of Entrepreneurship & Leadership (IEL), he fulfills his ambitions by developing entrepreneurs, corporations and non-profits towards entrepreneurial success. IEL's mission is to develop a nation of entrepreneur-leaders who through commerce usher solutions that meet the needs of others. Keno has been married for 16 years and is the father of three wonderful children. The startup guy, a teacher, author, software engineer and lifelong entrepreneur, he is constantly pushing and encouraging people to discover their purpose, define their life’s goals and create the business they were meant to start. Keno is the author of The Time Management Handbook and the developer of the Strategic Life Plan System and the Bootstrap Bootcamp entrepreneurship training program.
